Blanket Recovery, Phase Two: it’s taken a few days to get up any gumption. I think I just sat and stared at the TV and did hardly anything else. Well, and I’m reading this. Thank you all, so much, for your lovely comments. I’m so glad to have you visiting here with me, and your kind support of my little endeavors is such a blessing. I wish I could make you each a picnic lunch and a homemade thank you card. Hugs all around.
That big blanket caused a lot of leftovers, which is a situation I rather enjoy, as it turns out, because it is perfect for when I get a sudden wild midnight craving to make something like this. Mind blowing, that sweater. It’s got grannies, but is so much more. And here I go.

ReplyDeleteThe granny sweater is amazing, too! Perfect for leftovers :) I store my leftovers in a big glas vase and it's great to decorate little corners in my apartment. So colorful and simple :)

Dear god that blanket is gorgeous.. I would love to attempt something like that..I dont know as slow as I knit that would take forever. I have actually been checking out Knitting freedoms website they have courses on speeding up my knitting. I love my leftovers also..I used to donate to a group home but lately just cannot seem to give them up.

Hi Kirsten - I have been out of blogland for a while and have just seen you log cabin blanket - its abolutely stunning. I know how you feel when you finish; its a bit like finishing reading a really good novel. You don't want to say goodbye to all those characters. I have just spent all year crocheting three granny stripe blankets and on the third, I started to get a bit bored so it took longer but now they are done I feel kind of lost! Lily. xxx
